History

Shawn Charron, the sole proprietor, started Charron Ironworks in the early 1990’s in Clarksville Tennessee in a 8 x 16 shed on his property while working delivering concrete blocks to construction sites.

As the years went on, and his reputation grew, he built a 30 x 40 shop behind his home and started Metalration in 2003. The business continued to grow and from his shop at home, he opened the 50 x 60 commercial space at 790 Cumberland Terrace, where you can find us today.

Metalration is the company that it is because of Shawn’s dedication to perfection, the talented welders and fabricators we have today.

Today

You can’t look too far without seeing some of Metalration’s work within the Commercial/Industrial community.

We have worked on projects such as: Old Glory Distillery, Strawberry Alley Ale Works, Blackhorse Pub & Brewery, The Mailroom, Yellowtail, Dock 17 Burgers & Brews, Dunbar Cave State Park, Port Royal Historic State Park, Liberty Park, CMCSS and Fall Creek Falls State Park, just to name a few.

Shawn has collaborated with artists such as Dan Hanley to create and custom fabricate pieces for residential neighborhoods like Copperstone.

Metalration has worked closely with developers to create custom looks for subdivisions like Farmington, Easthaven, Whitewood, Hereford Farms and for the new up and coming Lisenbee Fields.

Metalration has also worked closely with general contractors as a subcontractor for all their fabricating needs.
